The Saddle-billed Stork, like most of its relatives, feeds mainly on fish, frogs and crabs, but also on young birds, and other land vertebrates. They move in a deliberate and stately manner as they hunt, in a similar way to the larger herons.
The Hammerkop (Scopus umbretta), also known as Hamerkop, Hammerhead, Hammerhead stork, or Anvilhead, is a medium-sized (56 cm) bird with a long shaggy crest. The shape of its head with a curved bill and crest at the back is reminiscent of a hammer, hence its name. Its plumage is a drab brown all over. |

Nice shot! Good sharpness and composition!
Regards
Ena
nice couple, TFS Ori
bonjour Nyala
belle photo avec le reflet à l'eau de chacun des oiseaux,
j'aimes bien ton angle de vue de l'image et le cadrage vertical
moi j'aurais préféré un peu plus d'espace vers la droite,
vers où le grand oiseau regarde, TFS
