[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lilacbreasted Roller : distinguished from similar Racket-tailed Roller by its obvious lilac, not blue breast, by being generally paler and by having pointed, elongated outer tail feathers. Imm : lacks elongated outer tail feathers but the Lilac-coloured breast differentiates it from the european and Racket-tailed Rollers. Habitat : Mixed areas of thornveld, open broad-leafed woodland and alongside roads. Common in the northern part of the region in South Africa. Call : Harsh squawks and screams when displaying.

Beautiful Lilac breasted Roller; a typical perch; next to the road on the top of a tree. Sometimes they fly away but here he decided to stay. Or is it a 'she'?
