Sheriff,

Just don't big cats here in the states. We have Puma, but sightings are rare and often violent. This is well captured. Well exposed, got the light just right. I have the same kit, and find the sigma to be a beast to use free hand,Were you shooting from a vehicle perhaps with a sand bag? O like this one a lot.

What a great picture of the great animal. So expressive scene which reflects the state of mood of the lion perfectly. I like wonderful rich colours, razor sharpness of the animal image and perfect wide DOF. Sand-green BG is excellent and supplements the main subject very well. Well done and best wishes.

Very good portriat of a beautiful lioness, lucky for you to see them in their natural habitat. She is a lucky one it seems. She looks very well fed. Some of the lions I see in Kenya and Tanzania were skinnier. Good clarity and detail. Well done.
Minor comment I have is that the color look a little over saturated or too much contrast. It doesn’t look as natural, on my monitor anyway.

Wonderful shot of this Lion with immaculate sharpness with perfect lighting and exposure. However I think it has been sharpened a bit too much. Anyway a fabulous eye contact and the moment has been freezed beautifully. You have got to be very lucky to have see these creatures in the wild back to back. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

The lioness has given you a very lovely pose here, with good eye contact. There are many details to appreciate, especially in the face area. Lovely big brown eyes, rosy snout, clearly visible whiskers and most important the teeth to slaughter her prey. This is indeed a very majestic animal. Congratulations with such a lovely shot. Great wildlife observations. Good sharpness nice compo. I think that you coud crop it little bit from the right to remove the part of another lion. Very good OOF background nice colors (but maybe you could do a little decrease of saturation)

By the bits sticking out on the right hand side it seems there was more of the pride in attendance. Well spotted and it just again show how unpredictable game and sightings can be. A model young lioness in her prime and she gave you a good looking over. Actually it is quite amazing how these animals sometimes seem to totally ignore you, almost as if they're not even aware that you are there. However, do not misjudge the situation as they are rather well aware of what's happening around them. A nice capture with lovely sharp details.
