Lovely shot of this Kurrichane Thrush - nice detail and colur. It seems that everyone is breaking lenses and cameras at the moment - I broke my 300 2.8 and Horia has broken one of his lenses.

Sorry about your camera and lens but I'm sure you will love your new equipment. I love the way this bird is looking at you! A nice head on shot with beautiful colors and sharp details of the face, wings and plummage. He stands out from the natural setting very well.

Hello Peter,
A nice image of this Thrush, an interesting POV shows us those fantastic throat markings. Good detail and great colours. I'm so sorry to hear about your equipment, I've done exactly the same thing myself and know how painful it is to see those cracks and breaks. The good news is that I think you'll love the D300, it's a fantastic camera. I bought it as a second body to my D2x, but the D2x is now the second body.

First of all I am sorry to hear about your camera and lens.You must have felt very bad over the incident.But I am sure D300 will soon wipe away all your sorrows. It's a good camera, isn't it?
This is a fine capture of the Kurrichane Thrush taken at good POV
it's rarely that you get pictures of birds directly looking at you.Excellent sharpness and details. Good colours.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful picture. It looks like a relative of an American Robin. You've captured it in a fine pose, with great detail, POV and lighting. Very nicely done.
BTW, How do you like your D300 ? I got that myself not too long ago and I am still in the process of getting used to it. (Too bad the birds are not cooperating the way I'd want them to...)
