| Impala [ Aepyceros melampus ] Medium sized African antelope with an average mass of 75 Kg.Dominant species in many savannas. They can adapt to different environments by being grazers or browers.Active during the day as well as night and dependant on water, thus a herd is an indicator of water in the close proximitry.When freightened the herd start leaping about in order to confuse their predator. They can jump distances of 9 meters and 2.5 m high. |

Hi Erwin
A cool capture of this young "penkop" impala ram. Those little horns have just started to develop and another year or so then this guy will be in his prime.
A lovely composition for this portrait. Nice sharp details and natural colours.
