Poaching of elephants for the ivory has declined since 1989 however it remains a widespread problem in west and central Africa. Large quantities of ivory are still finding their way into illigal markets in Africa and beyond |

Hi Erwin. A good picture of the Elephant. Nice to see one in the wild . good detail and Naturaul colours. you were close as you only used the 100-400. well done TFs.

I agree with Nick - it's wonderful to see im in the wild and your POV shows how massive he is, especially with the trees that surround him. It gives me a good idea of his height.
I like the composition because it is loaded with emotion. I feel a sense of isolation, sadness, and weariness as he plods along. To me, this screams with emotion.
