[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today’s upload is a photo of an Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiacus). It is photographed close to Shingwedzi restcamp while driving to Kanniedood Dam

The northern part of Kruger is tropical and the weather was hot that day.
I spotted two Egyptian gooses at this very small waterhole and many other animals such as a juvenile croc, a lizard, several birds, chacma baboons and so forth. You can find some of these photographs in my Kruger National Park travelogue.

Hi Annick,

I love the quality of the light here; giving deep tones and lovely saturated colours. Great detail and composition. An excellent opportunistic shot.

Mike

Hello Annick
You have got a super pov rolling down to the hill to the water at the bottom...The subject is super sharp with lovely eye contact looking back at you..
Paul

Hello Annick,

I don't think I've ever seen one of these geese before! You have captured his details and colours very clearly. I love his red legs, his sun glasses eyes and the rich brown on his back.

He stands out really well against the nicely blurred b/g.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Annick
I remember seeing these Egyptian geese before on TN, they are quite spectacular in colour and patterns. A good composed shot with great details. I love the different colour tones of this bird and thanks for sharing

Janice

Bellissimo momento di cattura, eccellente POV, molto bello il taglio compositivo, ottima nitidezza e molto belli i colori, una perfetta esposizione e leggibilità sia in ombra che in luce. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Annick,
Despite the partly contra-lumiere lighting you've captured a perfect close up image of this goose in crisp focus and a lovely posture, nicely isolated from the BG. Thank you indeed for sharing this fine scene with us my friend.

Nice shot of this Egyptian Goose!
I photographed one of these at Stocker's Lake near where I live... it was wild but it must have been miles better photographing this bird in it's original habitat!
Very sharp and crisp with great detail.
I love the light and colours.
Good low-down POV too.
Very well done, Annick!

Joe
