[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I did some research in the Kruger National Park map but wasn't successful in finding the identification.
There are many yellow species and I guess one have to be at least some kind of seasoned birder to get an answer.
As there are many birders here, I hope someone can provide me an identification.
In the meantime I wish you a great weekend.

Update:
This is a Yellow-fronted canary
Identification with help from Peter, Victor,..
Thanks!

I'm not familiar with African birds, but you've managed to capture this perfectly! Great composition, colours and details! I tried to capture a shot of a small warbler today, the American Redstart... It is so hard to catch those little things on film! They are so fast,

Hi Annick,

Can't help with the I.D but a superb image, the detail in the plumage is stunning, wonderful colours, well framed and composed, good separation from the natural OOF background, all the best,

Cheers Rick :)

Hi Annick

Excellent composition - the pose and positioning of the bird in the frame is great, plus your usual, wonderful detail.

I have had a look through Newman's 'Birds of the Kruger' and cannot find anything like it.

Hello Annick!

Nice catch! I can't help with ID unfortunatelly. POse of bird is very good, same as composition and bright yellow colour. Pity that leaves on BG aren't more blurred but this is minor nit.

Hi Annick,
Beautiful capture of this bird.I liked framing, catchlight in eyes and composition a lot.
Thanks for posting.

Hello Annick,
Yes, 've found the ID for you. It's a Yellow-eyed Canary, serinus mozambicus, Mozambiquesijsje. The only Canary species in Kruger with a white tipped tail end. It's not fully in colours yet, so I think it's an immature. Vicma was right.
Very beautiful photo.

Have a great weekend,
Peter

Merhaba Annick,
Zor ışık koşullarında çekilmiş olmasına rağmen oldukça başarılı sergilenmiş. Çok güzel bir tür ve kompozisyon olmuş. Tebrikler. Elinize sağlık.

Hello Annick,
In spite of the strong light you've got a lovely capture of this bright little Canary. I like its pose and the fine soft natural background. Great focus and sharp details too.
