[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have lots of trouble to get a good photo off the lions in the Krugersdorp Game Reserve with their eyes open. They are way too lazy after a good meal. Lots have been said about them already on TN so I am not going to repeat everything again. But they are truly magnificent animals. And it doesn’t matter if you are in the Kruger Park or a small game reserve like Krugersdorp or even in a Zoo, their size and presence is always intimidating. You can’t help feeling that they are the hunters and you are the prey.

She is beautifull.. How far were you from her ??

Very fitting title. The details are tack sharp. Exceptional point of view. I concur on their size and presence. These ladies weight in at 140kg. And we all know they pack a mean punch. Really an unique capture Annalise. Pragtig gedoen!

wow, fantastic, I can see what she had for dinner. Great capture Annalise (are you related to Ben?). Excellent detail and composition, great note too. Thanks for posting.

Pragige foto. About the open eyes. Have you ever tried to yawn with you eyes open? If you are going to capture a yawn, good luck in getting the eyes open. Your lighting is superb and the sharpness excellent. I did do a workshop on the crop, changing it into a portrait. This is a personal thing, I prefer either the whole backside or nothing at all. Excellent capture Annalise exposure and sharpness is spot on.. I like it very much.

The felines always are magnificent.
I think it must be the most photogenic mamals in the word. Very natural photo, Thanks.

Magnificent capture! Details and colours are very good and you really got "up close" with the lion. It's not the usual posure you see from a lion, but they yawn now and then too... Just don't get too close to them ;-)

Annalise, Now that's a mouthful! Beautiful animal and framing/perspective is right-on for this kind of shot. Great detail & sharpness also. Nice Kitty!! ;-)
