| The warthog[Phacochoerus africanus, African Lens pig] is a member of the pig family living in Africa. They are commomly seen in open grasslands where they will seek shelter and forage in dense vegetation they however prefer to forage in dense moist areas when available. Diet being omnivorous, composed of grasses,roots,berries,fruits,bark,eggs, dead animals and even small mammals, reptiles and birds.They are fast runners and capable jumpers.They usually enter the burrow back end first with the head facing the opening and ready to burst out when necessary. |
