Wow. Great shot, like the reflexion in the water. Was that done in post processing? I ask because it seems as though the ripples do not go through the reflection. Great shot either way.

WOW! Wonderful pose excellently captured. Center-composition very suitable and works well. Colours are wonderful. Slight grain brings out the ripples on the water surface. The orange eyes immediately identify the reflection and let you focus on it. This in combination with the brownish colours effectively focuses the attention and directs it to the mirror image. Excellent!

Hallo Gerhard,

Kronstadt is the old german name of a romanian town. I live there but there is no such great diversity of wildlife as in South Africa! :)

Excellent picture with perfect timing! Very good composition and great sharpness! I like the ripples in the water (was there a fish or something behind the bird?) and the reflections of the bird! Very nice brownish colors! Great work!
