I love the action you have captured. You sure have managed to show the speed that the shake involved. The head and upper chest is so clear and sharp. A really nice shot to view. I am sorry to hear that you are 'moving on' but understand. Your participation will be missed. I would like to thank you for all the encouragement and advice you have given me. This looks like a dark,damp English Autumn/winter scene and not what I expect to see from your part of the world :-)
Its a very nice capture.
I like the motion blur of the wings whilst everything else is tack sharp.
A great shot.

This is sharp where it needs to be, Gerhard, and very lovely in its approach. The movement adds some interest, as well as portraying this bird in its environment.

Hi Gerhard,
An excellent shutter speed has given perfect motion blur on the body, but kept excellent detail in the rest of the shot. Nice soft light has given well saturated colors. Flawless composition and framing. I hope you can stop in from time to time. This site needs more photographers of your caliber. I highly value your critiques and opinions!

Golly, but your timing was excellent. Such sharp focus on the upper body while you captured the movement of the shake perfectly.
It has brilliant colour and the POV of this bird sitting on the moss covered branches are just super. DOF & BG all adds greatly to this perfect composition.
Pity to hear that you have to move on. I am sure you'll be sorely missed by many. Please remember to be in touch when you come around this way. Go well.

Hello Gerhard,

I am sad to read that you will have less time available for TN-matters in the coming future, but I understand completely. I am extremely busy with my work myself these days and I hardly have any time to make photographs, let alone visit TN to upload images or to critique others. I hope to chat with you on a more regular basis lateron in the year though.

The picture is excellent. The symbiosis of action (the shaky body) and perfect stillness (the very shaply focussed head) is just perfect. Wonderful DOF and great colors. This is a fine picture. Well done & TFS!
