Taken at the waterhole near the Satara camp, there were over 50 elephants altogether. These few were playing together to the one side of the dam - very enjoyable to watch the behaviour. such large animals, yet so much like children to watch them at play.
RAW, levels, converted, cropped and resized to site. Hope you like the post |

Hi Tim
I have sat for hours, at this same waterhole, watching similar activities from elephants. It is amazing how long they can stretch this bathing play and what antics they can get too.
I like your shot very much because it is showing the elephant doing something which is an integral part of their existence. Most shots of these magnificent animals tend to show them just standing there while seemingly posing for a shot.
The composition is fine, the colours are very natural, and the exposure was well managed.
Good work and TFS.
Regards
Loot
