Very good Gerhard.
This is a very sharp and colourful picture.
It's a bit dark but S/H in PS fix this, but the BG can not been fixed.
I see some dust, maybe it's time to clean the CMOS.
BLOW VERY CAREFULLY WITH A BELLOW not compressed air from a can. Maybe the dust only seen at small aperture like F22.
Very well done.

Great macro Gerhardt
I think we all have a " If only" list as long as our arms. I really liked Callies idea and was impresssed with all the near miss posts. TFS

I like this Gerhard.Sad about the demise, but a beautiful mettalic green hue with fantastic textures. I don't know this insect. We do have a small wasp this colour...The Gadfly hunter, but it is a lot more slender than this.
A great shot though. Good stuff.

Incredible macro shots!
The pose is just amazing, it doesn't look like typical dead insect which usually has their legs curled inside.

Sad shot, love the metallic greens, and the detail is good.

I know Gerhard - first you made drunk this poor wasp and then you took this perverse photo :-)
Absolutely amazing green shinning textures.
The metalic greens and other details are well captured, though Shadows and Highlights would bring out a lot more.

Gerhard, I like the details seen in this low-light shot. The insect has an interesting pose..I imagine it to be praying that when you're done photographing you'll release it from the confines of your house! ;-) TFS!
"if you can't guess my name I shall knock myself out by banging my head against this piece of wood" said the impatient green wasp.
Nice shot Gerhard, shows a excellent details in the body. Good work.

He is banging his head against the wall! He cannot believe that his date did not know his name! Maybe he should lay in some sting?
This is phenomenal, I love the whole of this wasp. They have me fascinated since I was a kid, and let me tell you, barring the fact that I am highly alleric to honeybee sting, this guy pack a whollop worse than a 4 pound hammer!
Gergard, this is VERY good, and see, the just missed helped you, and others I'm sure, to make it into a very good picture!

The ghost of a wasp, if I understand well.
A wonderfull picture, Gerhard, as it is.
I think we are on earth to reming something like a secret and a secret, by nature, is something which cannot be revealed, because it would not be any more a secret, but a revelation.
Thanks

Do you think he is praying? Maybe before a meal? Or he thanks because he isn't a repast for others :-)))))

Gerhard, to me, there's a kind of drama going on here. You consider this a missed shot, but this picture depicts a dense moment. A little strange, a little odd, and that's really great.

I dont know why you include this one in this theme, I think the only thing you missed here is to get a nice photo "alive". For the rest, I think it is a very interesting picture. Nice workshop too. Thanks Gerhard.

Nice macro, Gerhard, clearly see the detail. I agree with Gret, it is a bit dark, but the colour of the wasp is fantastic. TFS

Hy wou bollemakiesie slaan. This is a shot that with excellent sharpness and even though there are some dark areas the impact is still very high.
Usaully when I see a wasp a assume the position this one is in, so it probably got this move from me :)
Very well done and thanks for posting.
