Correct me if the Bird ID is wrong. Brownhooded Kingfisher looks very similar.

a slightly little lack of sharpness maybe. But colors are so brilliant. I like the contrast between the flashy colors of the bird and the pastel background. Lovely.

Hi Paul,

You are correct in your identification. The Brownhooded Kingfisher has a dark colouring on the end of the bill. Excellent composition. DOF is slightly shallow, hence the slight softness on the tail and back. The head shows beautiful detail. Well done.
