Cut-throat Finch
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
English: Cut-throat Finch
Latin: Amadina fasciata
Dutch: Bandvink
Common resident in the central and north of South -Africa. In pairs when they are nesting, otherwise in flocks in dry broad-leaved woodland, often near villages and cultivations.
This finch was nesting in a weaversnest. The sound of the young-ones attracted my attention.
The nest hanged on an gutter of a house in a restcamp in the Krugerpark. |
