absolutely catching shot of mother and child...
is it a wild dog and is that in the crater
use some notes..it helps us all to learn a bit more
you got this nicely
you see here the instinctive lick a dog will a humans face around the mouth parts...its to make the adult dog vomit up the food its eaten and partially digested so the pup can eat it..
dogs arent stupid..they get us to love them and then give them chewies..:)

What a great capture. You caught a special moment. My personal bias is for tight crops and distinct contrast. It is totally a personal thing. I might be tempted to crop this a little on the left and increase the contrast just a bit. It's a wonderful shot just as it is though. : )
