Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The park is located between the Serengeti and Lake Manyara. It is home to the famous volcanic Ngorongoro crater which is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. The crater (610 metres deep and 260 km squared) is a microcosm of East African scenery and game and is usually visited on the way back from the Serengeti to Arusha. Scenic grandeur and stunning views are the hallmark of this wonder of the world. All the lodges are built high on the crater rim and afford amazing views over and into the crater - the perfect setting for a well deserved sundowner.

Beautifully bright and sharp. You have really captured a sense of the harsh light here and the slow, leisurely movements of the herd. Well done!

Great subject. Wouldn't I love to see a sight like that! Maybe it is just my monitor, but this photo looks oversharpened to me. Also, I might be tempted to crop out the light sky at the top. Light areas grab the eye and take attention away from your subject.

Good composition of this lovely tranquil scene. It seems though as if you really pushed this one for sharpness and colour. Was that maybe exaggerated by the cropping. Excelent POV.

Hi Geof, what a lot of Zebras (and others), and so good seeing them in the wild. It must be great to go there and see the animals like this, roaming free. TFS

What does *SFP mean?

I love the view and the sense of excitment you have captured, big points for that. The shot is a bit oversharpened, but still, you caught me up in your description! Nice work.

Hello Geof, good composition and colour. I would like to see the original as this looks to have suffered quality wise. Well done.

Geof, I know this one was scanned, and despite the difficulties you mentioned to other members, this is a very nice shot.

Lovely colors, pov and composition. I like saturation too.

Hello Geof, looking your gallery now. I see, you are wild nature's lover. Nice photos, very unusual animals for me and beautiful photos! Look like fantastic for me, living in grey and dusty industrial city :-)
Well done, TFS and best regards,
Elena

Hi Geof,
Excellent composition and colours.
I like how you have framed the 3 zebras in the foreground and the mountain range in the background without sky.
Congratulations
Marcos

Hi Geof,
I hadn't seen this until this morning, I think it's a great shot. The composition is perfect with the distribution of animals from extreme foreground to far background. I was curious what it would look like without the skyline so I posted a workshop, just an alternative view. I'm also curious why the adult on the left looks pregnant but has a calf with her? Any idea?
Cheers,
Adrian
