Wow.... Excellent shot. You sure were in the right place at the right time. Even though we have a rear view of the Heron, you can easily sense the aggression by seeing the beak wide open. Awesome detail in the Heron's plumage. Congrats!

Incredible action.
Could you manage to get more good shots of this action during the 3 charges of the eagle?
Must be fantastic to witness such a moment.
I wish I was there.
Quite smart decision for the eagle to give up. Herons are effective killers too. Sure not as good as the eagle, but one meal is not worth the risk.
