This bird is called a White-Browed Coucal or it is sometimes called the water bottle bird after it's bubbling call. The bird mostly eats insects, reptiles eggs and small rodents.
I struggled with posting this shot because so much of the bird is hidden by the bush, if you look carefully you will see a lovely long tail. However I decided to show it because I searched TN and did not find any others.
I hope you like it. I like the brown and cream colours that are some what punctuated by that red eye. |
