Piliocolobus kirkii
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Piliocolobus kirkii is a native monkey of Zanzibar (Zanzibar Red Colobus). This monkey is very voracious, usually eats leaves, other vegetal parts and unripe fruit, it can not digest the sugar of the ripe fruit. He often consumes vegetal coal in order to minimize the effects of the plants’ toxins that they eat. We can found it in some concrete areas in the island of Zanzíbar and this specie is in danger of extinction.

What an amazing face, Ferran. : )
Interesting-looking monkey, not often seen on TN.
Good POV of the subject with sharp details and good light.
I really like the coloring on this colobus.
Thank you for sharing. : )
Claridad. Parece que puedas tocar el animal. Se aprecia muy bien la textura del pelo sobre todo en la parte baja. Me gustan los ojos bien captados que dan vida a la foto, sino sería un poco insípida.
Salutacionsss Ignasi
