This is African eagle but don't know right ID so fare.
All help is appreciated :)

This raptor was captured in Serengeti area early in the morning. As another raptors found in Africa I found this guy in the top of the tree. This is long distance shot made @ 800mm ; 400mm + 2X extender is 800mm even 20D have 1.6 multiplication which give 1280mm which I never use in my calculations. This is handheld shot from Land Rowers roof. Hope you like it :)

Hope Steve Pryor is online :)

Hello Ralph,
Great shot of this raptor, sharp and great details. According to me it is a Wahlberg´s Eagle.
Greetings

Hej Ralf,
I think this is a juvenile African Hawk Eagle.
The adult birds are black and white, the white breast being spotted with black. Juveniles have a rusty brown head and are generally brownish.
I might add that I have never seen this species myself, but I think the ID is correct.
A fine sharp and detailed shot with fine blue sky BG and set ina pleasing comp.
Nice to see!

Hello Ralf,
Fantastic shot of this Eagle in beautiful light and in a very nice pose. Excellent sharp details and lovely colours. Maybe I would have cropped it a bit more on the right to place it slightly more off-centre, but that's a minor issue. Excellent work!
Many thanks and best wishes, Ulla

Beautiful shot. I would have thought it was a hawk! Very sharp details and wonderful colors.

Hi Ralf,
First impression - not a juvenile of any of the possible ranging Hieraaetus species (they all demonstrate hind-crown, nape and auricular streaking - there is none on this bird). It strikes me as being something from genus Aquila. Very short gape. Possibly one of the many forms of the Tawny. Very strange though is the two-tone color of the head and neck. I need other photos if you have them to give a definitive on this one.

Excellent shot, Ralf.
What a great POV of this eagle showing against the blue sky.
The details are so sharp and the light is great.
Unusual markings and colors on this one,
I am anxious to find out what it is.
TFS. : )

Hello Ralf , Excellent work of this magnificient Eagle.

Fantastic capture of this eagle Ralf! Exposure is great, DOF, colors and details are excellent. Hand held! Wow! What was your shutter speed? Did you work with your stabilizator on? Thanks for sharing!

Another great bird portrait...
Can't help you with the ID.
Good work again, Ralf.
