[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The small hippo was protecting his died mother from the teeth of the crocodile which was waiting a break to go to eat his mother. What a bad day for this little hippo.

salut christian

je suis bref, je n'ai qu'une main pour écrire pendant quelques jours. ton image est touchante et dramatique, et je trouve très bien de montrer également le côté dur de la nature, même si - à nos yeux - ce n'est pas très beau à voir.

Christian,

You chose to share a very difficult subject matter. Such events are never pleasant to witness but that doesn't mean they do not happen. Such is nature, whether you like it or not.... It definitely takes courage to post a picture like this but I'd like to thank you for sharing it. A reality check is sometimes required as well. Your picture shows that daily life of many animals is not an easy as it might seem....

Best Regards,

Martin

Christian,
What a content!
Well photographed as well.
And its educational after all...and quite emotional of course.

Hi Christian,

This is nature at its cruellest from our human perspective but that is the way nature works. Well seen photo and good comment.

Although there are some technical imperfections, this is really a fabulous capture
It gives us a PoV that allows us to see that animals have emotions and loyalty too.
Great details
With your permission, I would like to try a small workshop.
