La sélection sexuelle dans le regne animal se traduit par une lutte acharnée des males pour conquérir les femelles et pouvoir ainsi léguer à leur descendance leur patrimoine génétique. Cette lutte peut être violente, mais également pacifique par des différences d'apparence (morphologie, taille, couleur, odeur ...) comme c'est le cas ici avec ce bel agame male aux couleurs rose et bleue. On en trouve fréquemment sur les kopje, se dorant au soleil pour faire élever leur température corporelle indispensable pour un métabolisme optimal.

I like your Agama, especially the colours. Good POV & DOF. You also did well to keep out noise out of background.

What an amazing little fellow! Fantastic colors. I love the composition and shallow DOF. IMHO it seems a little overexposed...especially the white rock that grabs the eye away from your subject. I tried a workshop on it to see if I could help it a little. TFS such a neat photo! (oops reached my limit. I'll post it tomorrow.)

What amazing colors on this agama. I love his pose with his head tilted up just so, as though everything is beneath him. Great POV and sharp details. Well done and TFS. : )
