I love your "Monet-esque" shot, and a lot of work has clearly gone into this shot. I would have loved to see the original slide, as I know how much is lost by scanning. I would have done a little more PP work on this image - I've done a quick workshop - I hope you like it. Oh! I forgot to add that I cloned out the dust spots in the WS note!

Nice idea. I would venture a guess that this is a Goliath heron rather than the darter, though.
