Yes.....well he may think he is disguised amongst the bush, but I can sure tel him as you did as well...I hear from folks that the woman is the one who attacks...is that true...while the man does the work and such? Very nice image...the backdrop is indeed well coloured and blended in..

Hi Peter,

Judging from the look in his eyes it's a good thing that fence was there. He is so well cammouflaged that there must have been movement for you to notice him. Wonderful facial expression. The colors and shadings are marvelous.

I can understand that your hearth was booming mine would have too! What an excellent portrait of this almost hidden lion! This eye contact is impressive; I wonder what he was thinking about at this moment :)! Even if he is the same color than his environment, we can appreciate great details and good exposure control. Another great image of this big cat among the grasses. Great eye contact and it seems to be gearing up for attack. Very neat and sharp image with the warm lighting giving a superb effect. Indeed it must your made your heart thump a bit. Excellent low POv and very nicely composed. Kudos.

This lion works like I do Peter..He waits under camouflage for them to come.
The mostly centered comp works for this one, you've captured that iron gaze perfectly. Great details & camouflaged colors too ;}
