Taken at the Durban aquarium.
Rays are types of flattened fish closely related to sharks.Social animals found in seas world wide even found in estuaries.Often congregrate in huge groups up to thousands but some species live alone.
Unlike other fish they have no bones, their skeleton made of cartiladige , a tough fibrous substance not nearly as hard as bone. Many rays have spines on their tails which can poison other animals and some are fatal to man. |

Hi Erwin,
Great acquarium shot. No OE, and the glass isn't too disturbing. Too pity You cropped a little part of the ray, but most probably You haven't had the chance to choose POV You wanted, due to the other visitors. But a good shot overall, at least I like it. Tfs.

Pity you lost the end of the tail but still a very beautiful shot.
