This one is really a suberb shot. I love the simple composition and clear blue sky backround. No distractions, everything forces you to focus on the dragon fly. The exposure is perfect, and it has rendered beautiful colors in this nice light. Sharp detail! Great work!

Nice one Paul glad to see made some good captures down south, classic warm climate pose for a dragon fly ours try and hug rocks etc to keep warm the try and get as far from a surface as possible to keep cool, and quiet often the end of the tail is pointed towards the sun like here to reduce the surface area exposed to the direct heating of the sun. TFS

Hi Paul. I've never seen a dragonfly pose in quite this style before and I like it. Your exposure is great, the dragonfly is sharp and I very much like your POV and DOF. I can't help with the ID I'm afraid, my books only cover Europe. Lovely capture :)

Great tone-in-tone in blue, excellent detail (and with a 2x converter - where is the chromatic aberration?!), well focused with good DOF, great pose and compo.
