Greetings from Mars!

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was the view from the swimming pool on the top deck of HMS Eugenie, our ship that took us from the Aswan Dam all the way to Abu Simbel on a tour of Upper Egypt some years ago.
I actually had been sitting in the pool for quite a while, trying to stay cool, when it struck me that for as far as the eye could see, there was nothing but the lake and this martian landscape. When taking the picture, I must have decided subconsciously to cut out the water by moving the POV up to capture the land's texture and as I have recently learned from a fellow TrekNature member, putting the horizon halfway up a landscape picture gives it a nice balance....
If we make it to Mars, this is what we would see, just not with such a blue sky!
No filters. No flash. No tripod. No frills. No pp. Taken with an autofocus camera years ago. Scanned. Re-sized. Cropped a bit. No people. One desert. |

Scott,
This is a great register.
I realise you said "No pp". However I've always read that
Mars is sort of Red. So, I hope you dont mind what I've done. I've taken OFF the top by cropping it and warmified
your GREAT creation so we can have Mars on Earth in Egypt.
Welcome to TN. You said you want to hear from us. So, hear is a voice. If you dont like it I shall "delete" it.
This is all part of TN.
Friendly greetings from Canada from Mario.
