I really like the fac tthat you are able to post photos taken from all the corners of th world! You must feel gret about that :)
Thia ia an impressive colony here and judging by your lens you were quite close to is...how did it feel?
The composition here is equaly ramarkable, with the hilside on the right completely full with penguins, a terrific view towards those icebergs in the horizon and also a charming sky with clouds on top of everything.
Superb work, my friend!
Godspeed on your trip and see you when you get back! ;)
Cheers and TFS

Hi James,
Looks like a great place for an adventuring photographer like you, and me :-), to visit. Someday perhaps.
Pleasing composition here though I think some crop of the FG snow would be a benifit bringing the penguins in closer.
Then, maybe not. What do I know?
Sky and water have good color. So does the poo:)
TFS and hope you have a safe and fulfilling adventure in the US.

Hello James,
a wonderful picture. From experience i know it gives a thrill to visit such a colony. Besides the Adelie is less photographed species. THe lines are wonderful. The hilly slopes give the impression the whole image is somewhat tilted, but in fact that turns out to be an illusion.
Again, afantastic picture!
Have a good trip to the US.
Regards, JAcob

This is a great capture of this colony of comic birds.
There must be thousands and thousands!
+++ I love all the footprints in the snow... they add some great interest to the shot.
This could double-up as a landscape photo aswell. Showing the vast landscape of the Antarctic.
Good sharpness and detail.
--- The horizon is slightly wonky but could easily be straightened.
Well done James!
Have a great time in the US :D
Cheers mate,
Joe

Wonderful exposure, colour, sharpness and detail. The blue of the sky and water is beautiful against the snow.
