Hi Krzysztof,
it's impressive to see how light could influence colors, very interesting shot

Hi Krzysztof,
A pretty amazing and very illustrative image.
You have transmitted very well the mood and the aspect of how looks like that place.
I like also the clear and descriptive notes added.
Congratulations and thanks for the post.
My best regards,
JM

Hello Krzysztof,
Not B&W, but almost!
Excellent sharp and well composed capture of an antarctic scene with different nuances of grey.
The weather here is grey and dull: a good time to think about the weather and all its extremes, as stimulated by your note. Thanks for sharing this one,
Best wishes from a grey Scania, Ivan

Amazing landscape again, Krzysztof,
you were lucky to see this place - a wonderful trip in the coldness, so fresh, so beautiful, thanks

Very cute title...and an image which leaves its tracks. High impact from a location few would dream of seeing. An eye awakening sight and the story behind it all in notes is a good lesson indeed.

Hello Krzysztof,
Not Black and White, may be Grey. It's a wonder how earth changes it's mood and colours with different shades of light. Beautiful landscape and you have perfectly captured the mood in this picture. One can almost feel the chill looking at the picture.
Thanks for sharing the picture and also for the brief, to the point , informative notes.
Best,
Smitha.

Hi Krzysztof
Yes, another not black & white picture :) but one looking very cold not only by the presence of the snow and ice, but also from the colors and tonal range.
These "mountains" are indeed very interestingand somewhat symetric, which makes them look very pleasant in such a composition. I wonder: if they are made of rock only, and if there wouldn't be any ice there, how tall would they be? :)
Anyway, a shot full of atmosphere, complemented well by the note.
Bravo and TFS

Hy Krzysztof,
I really, really like this and I would have sworn it was B&W but for the odd tinge of blue. The balance of the picture is great, the balance of the tones and foms of the landmasses, with just the right amount of sea, land a sky. Must be the way you take them.
Kind regards,
Mike

this is almost sublime Krzysztof. What a sight, i envy you. The vast expanse of snow and ice serving as a backdrop is amazing and is a great contrast to the jagged outline of the peaks in front. Very well exposed, and super framing. well done!

Hi Krysztof
Sorry I have missed some of your postings - I have been in California.
Great shot - I like the detail very much and the stark composition conveys a great sense of place. Presumably you have heard about the 'Explorer'. They were at one of the locations I visited in Spitzbergen and one of their passengers got badly attacked by a Polar Bear - they really didn't have much luck!!

Chris, this is a truly magnificent capture of the conditions you came across during your historical trip to Atarctica.
The ambience is just fantastic with the place looking black and white, which it isn't.
Thanks for sharing this great image.

Hi Krzysztof.
I see you do not require colours to create terrific pictures. Once more amazing shot of very nice seascape. All is perfect. Especially the composition and razor sharpness of the image. My compliments and best wishes.
Alexei.

Hi Chris,
Maybe not B&W, but as close as you can get ;}
The photo's tonal value helps to reveal great detail or "texture" on this mountainous ridge..
Hmmm, -89.2 is the coldest recorded temp at Antarctica you say. I guess you'd have to say that was just a little bit nippy.
I want to see a warm sun-shiny photo next please :)
Very well done.

Hello Krzysztof
The colours are very subtle but some are visible.
A lovely shot, the rock contrasts nicely with the rolling snow covered hill on the horizon.
Very well focused with sharp details.
