Skypointing
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken at the Gentoo rookery at Port Lockroy, Goudier Island.
This one is "skypointing", stretching up his head and, er, screeching like a donkey (Gentoos are called Eselspinguin - donkey penguin - in German exactly for that reason) to mark his territory, to tell everyone that this is his spot and quite often it's the highest or most prominent nest although others do it as well. |

incredible pose but you need to sharpen the bird and the rock in my opinion.
Lucky you to have seen Antarctica! Great photo, I like the POV.
Well seen,
Alli
Hi Andreas,
I very much like the color, composition and the pose of the penguin. Exposure also seems to be correct. Too bad the photo is not sharp. Sharpening it more using software, will not be much of a help in my opinion. I guess it is a hand shake due to the slow shutter speed.
Regards,
Shahar
