| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This picture was taken at the Black-Browed Albatross colony on New Island, one of the outer islands of the Falklands (I could not find a listing under Antarctica). The colony is about 30mins walk uphill from the landing site.
The shot was taken just after sunrise. Rather than take the shot against the sea, I walked round the colony and took the shot inland, using the slope behind, which the sun had not reached, as a backdrop. |

Hi James,
dramatic lighting. Good focussing.
Regards, Gerrit
One can't call this lovey-dovey, but it is eh!
Great shot with good interaction of light and dark.

Hi James,
A great pose with a nice contrast of light & dark. Details are well-seen and POV is OK.
