[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Traveling through Cambodia I found the snake and gecko both wedged between stone blocks as the snake was attempting to swallow his meal the the gecko was resisting equally as hard. Unfortunately I will never know the outcome.

Jeff,
Wonderful capture....great moment...sharp, natural colors. Congratulation!

Hi Jeff,
welcome aboard TN! You start with a good action shot. Should you have had the impression that the Gecko could get away, think of the fact that the Gecko is suffocating and that the fangs of the snake are pointed inward. The picture shows nicely that snakes can unhinge their mandibles. This and the rigid trachea allows them to swallow enormous prey. Poor Gecko, I like the acrobatic buggers.
My best regards to you, Jeff,
Dietrich

Wonderful timing, Jeff!! Both your subjects have different colours for me - I have not seen a green snake like this and a white gecko with orange dots before!
Thanks for sharing it with us,
Richa

p.s. - If I were you, I would have waited to see it till end. :)

Hi Jeff,
I can tell the end for you: the snake had a good meal. I'm not familiar with this species but snakes in general can have meal proportionnally even bigger than that. I understand you couldn't see the end. You might need to wait 1 day. Swallowing big preys is especially slow.
I like the composition.
Also the 2 are spotted and green and orange are the complementary colors from eachother. This produce a great effect.

This is clearly a case of biting off more than you can chew!
