| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The walls along the Yangtze River are alive with color. This setting is along the famous three gorges section of the river. The stratigraphy or rock strata have been well exposed with vast variations of color and slope. The water level is considerably higher, thus the feeling of depth, though still existent, is not as strongly felt as once it may have before the Dam project along the river began backing up the water several hundred feet upward. One more section of this great dam to go and water levels will rise another 50 feet. |
