Nice macro. This insect can be so photogentic. Very nice lighting. You captured the lime green color well. I like the pose of insect. You have good DOF and a very pleasing blurred background with a wonderful color. Focus is excellent. It's just right ...you can tell by the antenna.

Awesome shot of this baby Mantid. Lovely colours and immaculate sharpness. Superb use of flash here and the smooth BG enhances the beauty of the Mantid. Excellent POV to portray it and a precise DOF. I like its confident pose very much. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

You have applied a great equipment for macro shooting and have created an extraordinary shot. Bravo. I like the pictured subject so much. It is perfect. Not often I think of baby insects as cute...but this one is.The lighting is very good and the colours are well saturated and vivid.The DOF and POV is excellent with spot on focus and sharp detail.The OOF BG has a nice bokeh to it.TFS

I had the notion Mantids were not all that small, Matt.
This is a wonderful capture of this juvenile posing atop the flower.
The shot is well composed and the BG in this shot too is well suited to the subject.

It's funny to imagine baby-mantids runnung all over the plants. This shot is excellent, you caught the strange creature in a very nice pose and the warm colours of the plant and the background help to bring out the shape of the mantis well. Well seen, nice encounter.

The colors do look pretty saturated on my Mac monitor. I'm not sure just what the true colors should be though. It is really wonderful work: great simple composition, wonderful presentation of the subject and super sharpness.

Has been a while ago since you did upload this great beauty, but I've missed it.
Superb image of the baby mantis and the way it's green colors do stand out against the wonderful soft color tones in the background and the beautiful red and orange colors of the flower is awsome.
Technically flawless image with perfect sharpness, DOF an lighting.
