Photo taken at Tan Zhe Si Temple, near Beijing China. The temple is built on a hillside and consists of various pavilions, prayer halls, courtyards and a group of pagodas dating from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. There is a water flow near the front gate. A small pond can be found there. The Lotus is a hearty plant and will winter over on cold days near the Beijing foothills. The light caught this plant with a late day sun as if light is coming from within.

Bonjour David,
Superbe macro finement détaillée et délicatement colorée grâce à une très bonne maitrise de la lumière.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles avantures.

Nice :) This is a lotus, right? I've never seen one this close.
This is a great flower, nice work, good colors and composition.
