Dear all,

this was taken yesterday afternoon while on the way to the Peak of Hong Kong. I was thrilled to see this interesting cloud - it looks like a big dancing stage! on top of it, a 'dancer' is performing some kind of dance which i don't know how to describe - ballet? traditional Chinese dance? Indian dance? Mermaid dance?

hahaha, hope you'd like this one : )

enjoy the rest of a beautiful Sunday!!

chrs,
Man Yee

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Peak

Victoria Peak (traditional Chinese: 太平山, or previously- 扯旗山) is a mountain in Hong Kong. It is also documented as The Peak locally, and Mount Austin. The mountain is located in the western half of the Hong Kong Island. With an altitude of 552 m (1,810 ft), it is the highest mountain on the island, although far from the highest Tai Mo Shan in the territory. It is also known to have the highest land value in the world[citation needed], with many of the Super-Rich residing here. Because of its view, history and spectacular location Victoria Peak is strongly attached with an air of prestige.

The actual summit of Victoria Peak is occupied by a radio telecommunications facility and is closed to the public. However the surrounding area comprises a mixture of publicly accessible parkland, and high value residential land, and it is this area that is normally meant by the name The Peak. The Peak offes spectacular views over central Hong Kong, the harbor and surrounding islands, and is a major tourist attraction.

Hi Man Yee, wonderful clouds in a superb sky with fantastic colors, splendid light, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello My,

You are right that the sky and clouds are interesting but ... it is a flying saucer! Look how it it swirling, and below it is the flight deck! Above, one of the curious little men is launching himself into the sky before gliding to earth.

You are right to look up. Often the sky and clouds are the most interesting part of a shot. The silhouetted vegetation frames it well.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Minyi,
A very interesting shot....it remind of the movie ID4...the big cloud look like an UFO...

Hi MY Wong,

Wonderful cloud formation, its like a big mushroom.in my opinion, you should try more clear POV or simple foreground.Just i think.anyway i like it.Great shot.TFS and have a nice and happiness weekend.

regards
mohaimi

Hello Man Yee. This is one beautiful cloud formation. The glow just above the silhouette is amazing and good land/sky separation. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

It appears to me to be a lenticular cloud. they form around Mt Shasta in N California quite often and have brought many unusual folks to the area. Some have claimed (truly I tell you this) that they indicated "Lemurians" who came to Shasta and live under eh ground. These are the most often photographed at Shasta but they do not occur on any regular basis..I have passed and live nearby and not seen one. Very nice patterns...and the cumulus clouds as well...a plus!

Ciao Man Yee,
splendido cielo con queste meravigliosi cirri e cumolonembi, la silhoutte degli alberi fa da cornice ai bellissimi colori saturi del cielo.

Relajante conjunto My. Los colores del cielo y de las nubes son muy reales. Muy acertado el primer plano negro de las plantas a contaluz, que hace destacar lo principal y además crea profundidad.
Saludos: J. Ignasi.
