Hi Chi,
You captured this little fellow in an interesting pose, he seems to have a "moustache" :)
It's the first time I see this kind of Robin and I like very much the color transitions on his plumage.
A well composed picture, with great sharpness and beautiful details.

What a jaw-dropping surprise to see a posting from you again MF. Welcome back and I hope we won't have to wait so long for the next one. You are a bit of a secretive hombre, but I hope you are well and that it was not due to illness that we have not heard from you for so long. True to form you had to re-appear with a stunner as this is an amazing capture of a very fine little bird, the beautiful Chinese nightingale. Who would be strong enough not to fall in love with that cute little face upon first sight?

The photo is great as the composition and POV are splendid with the direct eye contact from the bird. The colours are rich and the details are sharp and well defined. The OOF BG does well to make the robin stand out and the soft lighting was excellent.

This is a splendid capture from you and a very amazing one considerring the fact that you took it with a macro lens! By the way...how come you shot it with that one?...i know you have another zoom lens, too.
Anyway the picture is stunning and it captures the pose of the pekin robin wonderfully. The look and the eye-contact are terrific.
Also the colors are fantastic and the strong contrast on the plumage of the bird is excellent.
Very good POV and DOF - very shallow, that blurres what might have been a very distracting BG otherwise.
All-in-all a superb picture!
