Hello Chi,
A splendid macro capture of this handsome Chinese Rat Snake (genus: Elaphe?- I do not think so because it has not got any temporal band which it is main diagnostic feauture of the genus) with excellent details of its scalations and nice DOF friend! TFS.

Hi Chi, another great shot of this Chinese Rat Snake. I haven't got any snake shots in my collection, but since I don't know my snakes I'll wait until I leave Australia before I start looking. I like the close detail you have on this one, with very good detail seen on the eye and nostril, and it's skin. The backlighting you have behind him is very effective in "showing him off". Very nicely done.
