Nice capture.
Two little nits:
- one tip of leg is cut.
- background too dark (one nice workaround is to use a combo two flashes: one for the subject and one for the background. I whish I had this too)
The dark background doesn't bother me so much, it makes the mantis clearly visible. I think it's mostly a matter of taste. I regret more the slightly out of focus forelegs and the cut-off rear leg, but really nice pic though.
