with your contribution the Indian species of the genus Junonia has been completed within the last 24 hours. J. iphita, atlites and almana (by you) have been posted and now J. lemonias.
Your picture is prefect with respect to light, point of view, focus and sharpness. Furthermore, the composition is nice and well balanced.

You really show off that lens Pankaj. I use the same one and almost same camera...but difference is..yours come out so much better. It is a great lens and well worth the small price as opposed 4x more for the expensive ones that are Nikon. For instance jeest uses a AF-S VR Nikkor 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 IF-ED....very pricey! This inspires me...but with my butterflies they will not let me get this close..and the image shows how important that is. Did you use the built in flash or another? Did you use a tripod? How do you seem to know where they will land??? It is like some sort of magicians work...or perhaps a mystic!

A wonderful dedication to two very esteemed members of TN. I'm sure they love it.
This is one more addition to your already very impressive butterfly photo collection. A really stunning view of the beautiful upper wings of this lovely lemon pansy. The DOF here is simply perfect and keeps all the butterfly in full focus while the flahs brings the extra light needed to pull out some of those charming colors.

Really nice capture of this striking butterfly.
+++ I like how you've composed it with the wings going diagonally across the photo.
The sharpness is also superb and there is loads of detail.

Great shot of this pansy.
The only nit is the wing edges are just out of focus, one more stop would have had. I know the Sigma has a very narrow DOF, even in macro mode.
Apart fom that its perfect.

You are very lucky to see these marvellous butterflies in your environment. It isn't given to everybody. Excellent shot, like usual, showing the Lemon Pansy in a nice diagonal pose, with its subtle wing-colouration and the nice greenish blurred background in contrast.
