The newly hatched birds look so raw and yet so full of curiosity, Pankaj.
This little one has its wings in the early stage of development and look so unusual.
Very good capture with camera on the tripod. The image is just perfect.

Funny...I didn't see any of this in thumbnail. Perhaps I opened too quickly...ha! What an almost amazing image...You know...Americans as perhaps all, carry images of their newborns around with them and show them off...and to be honest...they all look alike..I have one friend who sees an image and his response is always pragmatic...."It looks just like a baby should" he will say...as if most are somehow required to say "My what a wonderful child" or some such...Frankly when a baby comes out, and I have been there for 4 of our 7...they are purple blobs:-) I have also cut the cord on 3 of them...It is always an honor to be in presence of new born!

Now this is something I'm sure few of us have ever seen. This baby dove is just wonderful - every hair and feather stands out in perfect detail. And the face, with that big eye, is wonderful. How exciting it must have been to see this baby.

I have never seen a young Dove before.It looks so strange with all those feathers . (reminds me of a cactus plant.:))excellent sharpness and details of the plumage.Very good POV. Nice composition.

What a beautiful and actually touching image you are sharing with us. I have never seen something like this, and cannot really find the words to describe what I am looking at. I cannot really say it is beautiful, but in the same breath I do want to say it is. One cannot think that these "cactus thorn kind of feathers" will develop into a layer of beautiful and smooth looking plumage. I am amazed by the size of the wide awake and alert eye. This is really a lovely portrait captured in fine style and turned out to be an excellent close-up.
Thanks for sharing, it was certainly very interesting to look at.
