From the POV it is difficult for me to identify it. It might be a cotton stainer bug or can be a milkweed assassin bug but I am not sure what it is. Any way a nice capture with sharp details and a very good composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

It is a Lygaeus equestris which is also known as Seed Bug, Pankaj. I have posted several pictures of it on my series on life forms on a milkweed plant we find growing profusely in open uncultivated lands in our country.
This bug is not confined to Crown Flower plant alone but can be seen anywhere these days.
You have captured it very well with nice details and natural colours.

The use of your depth of field to advantage.. by doing it this way it has a much more deep or almost three dimensional quality...well perhaps not 3D but certainly it has great depth to it...Very fine. close the offices for a couple of weeks and keep on posting:-)

Good, clear and crisp image. The DOF provides good separation of the insect from the background, as does the light colour of the background. I would suggest a small crop from the top to remove the dark corner in the top right as it tends to drag the eye away from your subject a little bit. Well done.
