I like a lot the composition proposed here, using the other diagonal formed by the butterfly an the leave. An unusual one but that works great here.

Apparently you have not used flash and managed this shot with camera settings, Pankaj.
The result is more than satisfactory. Whereas the BG has gone all dark, the features of the butterfly have stood out with distinct clarity. The wings give the impression of metallic sheen that goes well with the white markings.
The experiment has worked well.

what to say, nice butterfly. do you mean to say you opted for f16 for more depth because the b'fly was not parallel. still, i wish the background could be a bit more contrasting to the subject. ofcourse , thats situational too. good work. tfs.

Hi Pankaj!

Do you need a tripod or a support at 1/100sec? Is your camera or your lens equipped with a stabilisizer? I can easily go down to 1/30secs with mine...

At the first view, this picture surprises because I'm not used to these colours from you. They are fabulous. The darker atmosphere gives the picture a special aspect, somehow sublime. This is highlighted by the uniform background.
