This is the way my wife matts my images for posting on the wall...she uses the focal colours and in some certain combination as to bring out the focal point..with you focal begin mostly black and white...you use the black as dominant and then a slim white...Perfect composition!

You have selected an amazing BG for your cute photo model. Smoothness and colourfulness of the BG are great as well as the pictured scene at whole. It certainly is a wide-spread species in India, Pankaj. Every time I look for dragonflies, this fellow invariably makes its presence felt. Very cooperative with the tendency to return to the same perch again and again.
This is a very clear shot of this Orthetrum sabina. The focus is sharp and the plain green BG works out extremely well for the subject.

You are showing us a very fine photo with this insect. Image is very sharp showing well the body of the damselfly. I like the way torax and head can be seen through the wing. Colors are very fine so that light blue and black of the body looks shiny and stuarated. There is a fine contrast between the colors of the insect and the background.

A truly magnificent shot, my friend!
I have the exact same lens, but i've never managed to shoot a dragonfly with f/5.0 and get such sharp details before.
This is truly inspiring and i will most definitely try it out next season, since that BG behind the Slender Skimmer looks too amazing!
