This shot is for all our wonderful bird photographers at TN.

I am always inspired by their work and feel like capturing beautiful bird images but i have to wait till i get a tele lens for me.

I took this shot of male house sparrow with Nikon D80 using Sigma 70/300 lens. Resizing and framing done for final presentation.

Your critiques and comments are most welcome.

Information From : Wikipedia

The House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) is a member of the Old World sparrow family Passeridae, considered by some to be a relative of the Weaver Finch Family.

It occurs naturally in most of Europe and much of Asia. It has also followed humans all over the world and has been intentionally or accidentally introduced to most of the Americas, sub-Saharan Africa, New Zealand and Australia as well as urban areas in other parts of the world.

It is now the most widely distributed wild bird on the planet. In the United States it is also colloquially known as the English Sparrow to distinguish it from native species.

70-300 BUT with APO which makes all the difference...the non-APO is a terrible lens..but there is a much higher price for the APO...in the end, with images such as this..it is well worth the price. My dad used to say...if you are intent on doing something...do it right..He applied this also to buying things from shoes to suits, to computers and cameras...but he had the good fortune of a high ranking job with our government for 35 years....he earned his money well...
Very Nice
Bob
