A lovely pose of a beautiful butterfly that strongly reminds me of the season of autumn and the leaves changing colour and falling from the trees. The fine patterns and veins on the wings are captured and displayed very clear and with detail. Although you mention that this is a medium sized butterfly I like how your object fills the entire frame, this way bringing it closer to the eye (For us that do not have good eye-sight. A lovely presentation with sharp and clear details. Thanks for sharing.

Superb close-up taken with skill technique. I like wonderful wide DOF, perfect use of flash light. POV and composition also are great. Pictured scene is amazing. Flowerm butterfly and BG are fine. Bravo.

I am always quite surprised at the seeming contradiction in a particular name which is preceded by "common" and yet when imaged, contains so much more than common. Your technique remains high quality and your choice of backdrops and perches, or perhaps the butterfly's choice:-) is superb. Your framing continues to be superb....Hope you have been having a fine week sir!

How beautiful! The light falls exactly on the right place: the head. Great contrasting colours against the dark BG. Very sharp. A very good composition and DOF.

This is a beauty!!! I don't remember seeing a finer picture of the Common Emigrant than this one. Everything is perfect. Colors, clarity, lighting, background are all superb. Absolutely beautiful composition with the pretty flowers.

Dear Pankaj,
This butterfly is fast on the wing, and is a strong flyer. You were lucky to get this one quietly sitting giving you lovely pose. I believe, the male has narrow black markings on the forewings; then is this a female pomona. TFS.

Hello Pankaj,

You have made such a fine close-up of this butterfly. You have shown well insect's wings in sharp image and natural colors. There is a strong and well looking contrast between the butterfly and the flower. Both of them stay nicely against the blurry background.
