If people would pay more attention to the beauties of nature as shown in your picture, they would also discover and appreciate the value of life...

Namaste Pankaj,
this mantis is beautiful, I love those alien-insects very much and you had good eyes to find this tiny one.
The eye is so impressive and it's amazing to see, how the head and eyes are following every move you make while taking pictures.
I had the great luck to see some in Italy this summer, the first time to be so close at a mantis in my life - a great moment!

This guy looks regal and elegant on the white flower, Pankaj. The red in the background makes this an amazing composition in colours too.
The first ever pictures of a Praying Mantis I took in my village are not all that good, though I would still prefer to post one for record.
The trauma of the last three days has hit every Indian very very hard.
I too am with you in my grief and concern for all those who suffered or lost their lives in the direct path of the madness.

My heart bleeds for those hundreds of people who have lost their nearest and dearest in the terrorisst attack! I love India and anything that happens there affects me very strongly. I hope this will not be allowed to happen again!

like this great capture of a mantid nymph on a fine white flower in your garden. Technically perfect and esthetically pleasing.
Must be great to come back to after a hectic time at work. Also it is good to look at nature after the tragedy that has afflicted Mumbay. Nature is raw but not evil.

You do so well with these insects...this one has an advert feeling to it....as though the perch was something flavourful...might be to this one...but almost as fluffy as whipped cream...gives it a very nice natural work..of art...feeling...as I drop off..

Another one of your magnificent macros and now I feel that this mantis has become your pet, unless it is a different one. Very impressive sharpness and neat focus. The red BG works well here and makes the image stand out. Yes, it is such a relief after the horrendous act of terrorism in Mumbai and we all can feel happy about it after so many hours of battling with those insane people. This fine image gives so much solace.
