This is another capture of The Giant wood spider taken in the wild of Tamtora near the Gomarda reserve forest.

This spider is a big spider with colourful body, the web formation is big and one of the strongest created by any spider.

The legs of this spider are very long and it was a bit difficult shooting the total insect into frame due to big legs.

The shot has been taken handheld using Sigma 70/300 lens.

Inspiration to capture spiders came from Mr Fartash who has posted many wonderful posts of many species of spiders. This shot is a dedication to his remarkable work on spiders.

Raw to jpeg conversion, resizing and framing done.

What wonderful symetry in nature yes? Your depth of field is down to millimeters. I didn't think a lens was so capable as this.

Great jon on this Pankaj, I know just how hard spider's on web's can be to get right..
The flash has worked well here to illuminate the web, and bring out the bold colors/markings of this species.
Very well done,
Howard

Hi Pankaj,
A nice capture of this Giant wood spider underside view. I have seen a lot of these but never got successful captures. They always become OE some where in the frame. You have captured it beautifully with excellent details and composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.
